Our planned Nova Scotia fall trip was diverted to a New England due to hurricane Dorian. It cause significant damage to trees stripping many of the leaves. Still, fall in the White Mountains in New Hampshire was nothing but great colors and fabulous hiking.
Prince Edward Island
Most visitors come for the Anne of Green Gables history and sites, but I found Prince Edward Island to be exceptionally picturesque.
Newfoundland, the Lighthouses
There are some 100 lighthouses in Newfoundland, a testament to its long history of fishing activity and its complex (very complex) coastline.
Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland, Canada
There was too much to see in the 3 days we allowed for Gros Morne. The hike up to Gros Morne Mountain is recommended, but it is a difficult one.
