Most visitors come for the Anne of Green Gables history and sites, but I found Prince Edward Island to be exceptionally picturesque.
Newfoundland, the Lighthouses
There are some 100 lighthouses in Newfoundland, a testament to its long history of fishing activity and its complex (very complex) coastline.
Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland, Canada
There was too much to see in the 3 days we allowed for Gros Morne. The hike up to Gros Morne Mountain is recommended, but it is a difficult one.
Big Sandy, Wind River Range, Wyoming
This is one of the most scenic areas in the country. Great hiking, great mountain, great people.
Rocky Mountain National Park, Kawuneeche Valley

Rocky Mountain National Park, East Side

It was a cold and rainy day… no really, it wasn’t raining, but the drizzle was so heavy it might as well was raining. It wasn’t terribly cold, but we expected warmer drier weather, so without proper cloth it felt cold. The cool weather was made the hiking easier and…
Pinnacles Chalone North Peak and the High Peak Trail
Not only we got to hike one of the more interesting National Parks in California, we also had interesting clouds in the sky and favorable ambient light for photography. The hike up Chalone Peak is a great way to get a bird’s-eye view of the area and the High Peak…
