Death Valley has been one of my favorite destinations for mid winter trips. Temperature is comfortable and winter brings clouds and soft light. This time my goal was to get to the Racetrack. It is a dry lake bed where rocks seem to travel on their own leaving trails in the mud. How exactly this works is still a bit of a mystery, but it is probably rain that makes the mud slippery and wind that pushes the rocks around. The Racetrack is so remote that night sky are completely dark, a perfect opportunity for shooting star trails images.
But of course on the way we had to stop at Tecopa for a quick dip in the hot spring.
Very nice!
Looks like you’re living the dream, Ron!
Thanks Kai, Life is beautiful.
See you next month in the dead sea and more !!!!
